Plantphibians and a Chick with a gun

Well, here are my final two pieces for school. Now I get to concentrate on making a demo reel. The Plant like painting I wanted to go for something completely different and give it an real alien type feeling. Are those things amphibian? Can they move? Something I wanted to leave to the imagination. As for the chick with the gun. I went back to my comic book style of drawing a did her completely out of my imagination. Basically, I did not use any reference except for the gun. I will post my demo reel soon. Cheers. B

Say hello to my little friend

O.K. This, I think, will be my last piece for school. I wanted to do a piece that showcased my ability to draw without reference. The girl is entirely freehand, with only the gun as the one thing in this drawing that I referenced. The pencilling took about 6 hours to complete. I can't stress enough how much life drawing has advanced me as an artist. This drawing definately has a very comic book like feel to it. The final artwork will be done within the week. Cheers. B

Waterpede

Here is the final version of the waterpede. I think this one has to be my favorite so far. Everything worked out fairly well. I really wanted to capture the feeling that, the giant leviatian has just come up from the deep to circle the craft, and is getting ready to strike. I really like the depth of this piece, something that can be very tricky to accomplish. B

My newest piece, and one I hope to be done soon. I wanted to post this in it's initial stages. I will have a underwater craft added to the piece as the 'waterpede' moves in for the kill. I will post the final piece very soon. Cheers. B

Military Sweep

Here is my latest, I wanted the focus to be on the Military guy wading through the water, and on further observation, one can see trouble creeping up behind him in the water. Cheers. B
